Summertime Reminders

Let’s face it. Rules are no fun. But sometimes they’re necessary to ensure that our community here at The Terraces at Canyon Hills is safe and enjoyable for everyone. So with Summer upon us, here are just a few reminders that the Board wanted to pass along.

Pool and Spa

Pool hours are from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM everyday. As a reminder, pool facilities are a privilege to be enjoyed by owners or occupants. Loaning pool keys to anyone that isn’t currently an owner or resident is prohibited.

Speed and Traffic

Drivers must observe the one-way signs around all circles in the community. The 3 seconds you save by shortcutting a circle the wrong way is not worth the risk of injuring yourself or others. In addition, please be mindful of your speed – especially during the Summer when more people tend to be outside (kids playing, walking dogs) on our streets.

Resident Guest Parking

At the last board meeting, several homeowners expressed concern about our guest parking situation. A reminder that residents are not permitted to park in guest parking spaces without approval from the board of directors or in emergency/extenuating circumstances (which does NOT include “it’s more convenient than pulling into my garage”).

In addition, any guests staying overnight should be safe-listed to avoid ticketing and/or towing.

4th of July Safety

If you’ll be grilling, make sure your grill is away from your home and deck railings, and out from under eaves and overhanging branches.

Also, be sure to keep a close eye on your pets. In particular, dogs get spooked and go missing during the 4th of July festivities.

As we wrote about in our Terrace Tribune last month, our community has about 30 fire extinguishers, with 4 or 5 placed in each circle typically attached to the center block of detached garages. Take a moment now to find the one that’s closest to your unit so you know where it is in case you ever need it (stray illegal fireworks?).

Lastly if there is an emergency, call 911, then alert Platinum Management Group (HOA manager) at (949) 330-6350.
