Welcome to another edition of the Terrace Tribune for November 2019. There’s a lot to cover so let’s jump in.

New Patrol Company
We’ve hired a new patrol company to enforce parking rules, pool and spa regulations hours, and generally keep their eyes out for suspicious activity in our community. The new company is Courtesy Patrol Specialists.
You should have received a packet in the mail with a website link and unique activation code in order to setup an account for safelisting guest vehicles.

Coyote Sightings
Several homeowners have recently reported seeing coyotes wandering around our community on multiple occasions and in at least one case, taking a family pet. Since we live adjacent to a wilderness area and canyon, coyotes are a natural part of the landscape so it’s not unusual to see them around.
As a precaution, the city has posted a sign at the bottom of Canyon Hills Drive. In addition, always be aware of your surroundings especially in the very early morning and late evening hours. And it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your pets even when they’re on your deck because they can easily be snatched in a matter of seconds.
The city has also posting coyote hazing guidelines in the event that you encounter one. For your convenience, click below for a digital copy of that guide.
Tree Trimming
Just a quick note that tree trimming is scheduled to begin in November. It’s part of our planned and budgeted maintenance in order to keep all the trees throughout our community healthy and vibrant.
Fire Lane Update
After over a year of reviewing bids, getting permits, and communicating with the Orange County fire authority, it looks like the fire lane project is very close to starting with a tentative date to remove the grass sometime in November.
Refer to the January 2019 Terrace Tribune for a refresher about why this project is necessary.
Maintenance Committee’s “to-do” List
At the October 23, 2019 HOA meeting, the Board of Directors approved an itemized list of repairs needing to be done in the community which cleared the way for the work to begin. The work will be performed by Carasso Construction.
Holiday Lights
The Holidays are upon us and our Association is preparing to light the place up in the spirit of the season of peace and joy.
